The aim of behavior-based safety (BBS) programs is to continuously improve safety culture or, “the way we do things around her.”  The ties to occupational safety are easily recognizable – but doesn’t safety culture also impact process safety performance?  This presentation explores opportunities and limitations of BBS programs for influencing process safety performance and what you as a formal or informal leader can do to bring about change.
