In 2021, environmental justice (EJ) transformed from political rhetoric to an Administration cornerstone driving policy changes and enforcement actions warranting not only awareness but also action by chemical manufacturers. This presentation will provide an overview of key aspects chemical manufacturers need to know about EJ, including: recent EJ federal and state developments and the way these policies are shaping environmental enforcement cases in Texas and Louisiana. We will provide a brief EJ assessment demo using EJSCREEN and will give EJ recommendations for chemical manufacturer professionals.
