Rethinking Risk Assessment: Adding Human Factors

Gary Higbee, Higbee & Associates

Expo A2

Risk assessment is not only about safety, risk assessment is about safety risk, productivity risk, quality risk and profitability risk. While we will be looking at primarily safety risk, the view of risk is much broader than just safety.  Our view of risk is often influenced by our job responsibilities, so therefore our view of risk is influenced by other factors.   Risk assessments have been around a long time and have had a varying degree of success. It is hard to argue with the concept of assessing risk by determining the amount of energy present (hazard level) and the likelihood of coming in contact with that energy.   This session will help you take the guesswork out of the process.
