Soft Skills for Effective Design and Evaluation of Changes

Tanner Martin, Process Safety Engineer, Indorama Ventures

Expo A1

Our Management of Change programs are the backbone for many activities happening at our sites and are framed and given direction by our written procedures. MOCs can require the involvement of many disciplines and many different people, which can challenge the ability of our MOC framework to identify the potential risks with each change. How can we influence the effectiveness of our programs outside of these procedures? In this session, we will delve into the importance of our professional soft skills and how they can increase the effectiveness of the MOC design and risk evaluation process. How we conduct ourselves and interact with others plays a pivotal role in our programs and is not included in ours procedures. Employee participation is critical and needs a proper stage to be identified, included, and heard.
