The use of chemical protective clothing is a commonplace throughout the Texas and Louisiana Chemical Industry and as such can easily have its merits and limitations taken for granted. This presentation provides a grounding on considerations for selecting the appropriate garment for the ultimate protection. The session will help to understand the key determinants of selecting a Fabric, Seam and Design for the hazard. Attendees will understand the differences in Degradation, Penetration and Permeation test data. The need for both chemical and flame protection is also a frequent occurrence in the Chemical Industry and how you handle the Dual Hazard environment. Finally, this session will cover some of the pitfalls to look for in misleading standards.
