Don’t Miss the 2023 Texas-Louisiana EHS Seminar & Industry Trade Show

Don’t miss the premier Environmental, Health, and Safety Seminar in the Gulf Coast. The 2023 EHS Seminar & Industry Tradeshow at Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston from June 5th through 8th. We are excited to offer a revised schedule with excellent education sessions and more time on the exhibit floor. This year’s education tracks have been posted on the EHS website for attendees to review and start selecting their sessions.

The Texas-Louisiana EHS Seminar & Industry Tradeshow is the leading safety seminar for the petrochemical industry. It provides opportunities to enhance regulatory knowledge, learn best practices, network with industry peers, and hear from recognized safety experts. Whether you are an operator, engineer, site manager, or executive, the EHS Seminar provides knowledge to foster attendees’ personal growth and professional development for your organization, while enhancing excellence in safety within the chemical industry.

The Seminar is hosted by the Texas Chemical Council (TCC), Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA), Association of Chemical Industry of Texas (ACIT), and the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA).

Attendees are encouraged to register online before May 12th to take advantage of reduced pricing. In addition to normal attendee registration, single day vouchers are available for advance purchase. Site leaders often use vouchers as a safety incentive or as an award to employees or contractors.

Highlights of the 2023 Annual Texas-Louisiana EHS Seminar include:

  • Five Education Tracks each day, with topics ranging from process safety, occupational safety best practices, industrial hygiene, and emergency response.
  • Continuing Education credit for several professional certifications
  • An Industry Trade Show featuring over 130 exhibitors showcasing new industry products, equipment, and technologies.
  • Outstanding Keynote Lunch Speakers:
  • Lots of Prize Drawings
  • Networking opportunities with colleagues, peers, customers, and suppliers

This year, Keynote Speakers include Ascend Performance Materials Site Director Greg Blanchard, Sr., INEOS Oligomers Plant Manager Jeffrey Wolf, and accident survivor Kina Hart.

Greg Blanchard and Jeff Wolf are both past recipients of the Gerald R. Ehrman Award for Leadership in Safety Management and will discuss how to cultivate a health and safety culture starting at the top. They will outline the foundations of a strong safety and operational culture that is committed to continuously improving safety performance.

Kina Hart wants you to own your safety. She began her first day of work in a fish processing plant at 8:00 am. Forty minutes later, her left arm was being torn from her body as she was caught in a moving conveyor belt. This horrifying accident and her fight to survive changed her life forever. She uses her experience to raise awareness about workplace hazards and the importance of making safe choices.

The Seminar’s success is due in large part to our member company volunteers who invest hundreds of hours in planning and coordinating the Seminar and securing expert presenters from all aspects of the industry. The EHS Seminar Committee works hard to provide attendees with informative education sessions and continuing education credits for a variety of professional certifications. A special thanks to our Chair Richard Bass of Kuraray and Vice Chair Nancy Ross of LyondellBasell.
