Welcome to the Environmental, Health, & Safety Seminar
The Texas Chemical Council (TCC) and Association of Chemical Industry of Texas (ACIT) in collaboration with the Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA) and the Louisiana Chemical Industy Alliance (LCIA)'s EHS Seminar provides a great opportunity to enhance your regulatory knowledge, learn from best practices, network with industry peers, and hear from experts. This valuable opportunity is available to you in the heart of the Gulf Coast Region, Galveston Texas. The conference has had a long history of success beginning in the mid 1980's. Whether you are an operator, engineer, or manager, you will learn and be challenged with the information you hear. Mission
To present an annual Environmental, Health and Safety seminar that provides knowledge to foster personal growth of the attendees and the performance of their organizations, while enhancing the image of the chemical industry.
2013 Seminar
2013 will be a year of change. The EHS Seminar is moving down the hall into the Moody Gardens Convention Center from the Moody Gardens Ballroom. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from 25 unique presentations per day, from 5 different Tracks - that's 100 unique presentations in 4 days! Conveniently mix Tracks and Presentations as you desire to attend.
Tracks/Presentation includes: (4) Safety, (3) PSM, (3) Best Practices/Lessons Learned. Two full days of Environmental that includes Energy Management. Individual Tracks for Emergency Response, Employee Health, Hazard Recognition, Emerging Trends, Security, and two new tracks designed for Plant Managers & Developing Leadership. Dr. Geller is returning as one of our Keynote Speakers. Wow, was he powerful last year. All this included in the daily registration.
Two separate all day Training Classes will be offered this year. Returning by popular demand, Scott Whitelaw with "Creating Personal Success for Environmental, Health and Safety" for two days and Haney Robertson with "Hazard Recognition" in a one day training class. The training classes are not included in the daily registrations, but are purchased separately if you wish to attend.
An expanded Vendor Trade Show on Tuesday and Wednesday with a lot of excitement and festivities planned for our attendees. We are kicking off the opening of the Vendor Trade Show with a Monday night Attendees Welcome Reception, followed by an Attendees Appreciation Reception on Tuesday night both in the Exhibit Hall with a "Texan/Cajun" theme. All this included in your Monday, Tuesday or Full registrations.
Here is a peek of what's planned: The Houston Texans Football Cheerleaders, DJ Music, Photo Booth, Cajun cooking by "Big Rich Courville Catering", raffles, door prizes and cocktails will be served. Sponsorship opportunities are available for each these events.
As a family vacation spot the Moody Gardens Hotel and Spa offers many venues for family enjoyment. Moody Gardens Pyramid and Schlitterbaun Waterpark passes are only available at a discount when you pre-register.
