ABOUT JEFFREY 
Jeffrey  is an experienced HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) professional currently serving as HSSE Manager at Hunter, where he oversees safety operations for both Hunter Buildings & Manufacturing and Hunter Site Services. With seven years at Hunter, he leads the development and implementation of safety policies, conducts training, performs site audits, and ensures compliance with client and regulatory requirements. His approach is rooted in practicality and applicability, emphasizing critical thinking to ensure safety solutions are both effective and sustainable in real-world environments. 

Prior to joining Hunter, Mr. Chark spent seven years with Hagemeyer (now Vallen), where he built a strong foundation in industrial safety and field operations. His experience included serving as a Breathing Air Technician, performing fire extinguisher maintenance and refills, supporting turnaround operations as a hole watch and fire watch, issuing consumable and rental safety equipment, and acting as the onsite single point of contact at a Lyondell facility for two years. In 2019, he began his career at Hunter as a Field Safety professional, traveling nationwide to conduct audits and inspections before advancing to HSSE Supervisor and ultimately his current role as HSSE Manager.

Throughout his career at Hunter, Mr. Chark has led several key initiatives, including the Quarterly Safety Summits, Stay Sharp Program, and the Hunter Leadership Program—each designed to strengthen safety culture, improve workforce competency, and drive engagement across the organization. He has supported projects for major industry clients such as Air Liquide, Chevron, Dow, Exxon, Honeywell, Lubrizol, Motiva, Shell, and Valero, contributing to Hunter earning four “Best In Class” awards through the Industry Business Roundtable (IBR) Safety Excellence Awards. He holds multiple industry certifications, including NCCER CSSST 100, NCCER CSSS, OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40-Hour, CPR/First Aid/AED, and Industrial Incident Analysis and Investigation. Being driven by a passion for continuous improvement and guided by the philosophy to “Strive for Excellence,” he believes that both the problem and the solution are found in leadership—while the path may not always be easy, the results are always worth it.
