For over 30-years, industry has utilized a reciprocal training model to lessen the burden on the host and hiring employers to comply with OSHA requirements for contractor training. This successful model still faces challenges such as an employer’s proximity to a training facility, scheduling and cost. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit association, the Health and Safety Council (HASC) developed a revolutionary new contractor PSM compliance solution. In response to industry’s request for a standardized and scalable reciprocal option, HASC partnered with industry experts in safety, adult learning and design to create a cost-effective and efficient training program with Safety Essentials™.
This presentation will explain how HASC leverages best practices and emerging technology to change the landscape of traditional training and streamline the on-boarding process.
