ABOUT PAUL
Paul is the Gulf Coast Growth Ventures President and Site Manager located in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is responsible for the ExxonMobil and SABIC joint venture company that was started up in 2021 as part of a multi-billion investment by the two companies.
Paul received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1991. He began his career in ExxonMobil’s Baytown Chemical Plant as a process engineer and worked in various technical, business, and manufacturing leadership positions before working about a decade in the company’s Houston headquarters office and in Chemicals Technology where he worked in various leadership roles. In 2009, Paul returned to manufacturing as the Singapore Chemical Plant Technical Manager followed by an assignment as the Mont Belvieu Plastics Plant Manager during period of a major expansion of the site. In 2019, Paul became the Gulf Coast Growth Ventures Site Manager and was responsible for establishing the manufacturing organization that would operate the facility that was under construction. In 2021, he assumed his current role as President of the company in addition to his Site Manager role.
Paul is the past Chairman of the Association of Chemical Industry of Texas and continues to be a Texas Chemistry Alliance Board member, past President of the Coastal Bend Industry Association, and also serves his community on the Board of Directors for the San Patricio County Economic Development Corporation and the United Way of the Coastal Bend. Paul is married with three adult children and two grandchildren.
