ABOUT JIM
Jim is a Vice President and Principal Engineer with GSI Environmental Inc. and has 25 years of experience in the environmental field. He has a B.S. in Bioenvironmental Science from Texas A&M University and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Rice University.

He has provided consulting expertise on a broad range of projects including environmental permitting, due diligence, site investigation, chemical fate and transport, remediation, and litigation matters. His project experience has included RCRA hazardous waste and compliance plan permitting at multiple industrial and hazardous waste treatment and disposal facilities in Texas and California. Mr. McDade has conducted extensive site investigations at industrial facilities and oil and gas exploration and production sites in the United States, South America, and the Middle East.

He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of corrective measures and remediation systems at sites located throughout the United States, and he has successfully worked with environmental regulators at the state and federal level. Mr. McDade has authored or co-authored numerous technical articles on topics including remediation costs, matrix diffusion, natural attenuation of chlorinated solvents, bioaugmentation, and MTBE.

His training experience includes teaching GSI’s Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP) training course. He has participated in the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council’s (ITRC) incremental sampling methodology (ISM) team to update their guidance document for ISM.
